THE POWER OF SMILE :)

At this point in my life, I am afraid of change. I am afraid of what the future has prepared for me, faced with the pressures of growing up and being responsible. I am constantly reminded that the decisions I take today will influence the rest of my life. It disturbs me deeply to know that most of my year so far, has been filled with fear, insecurity, and doubt. This sudden awareness of the importance fear has taken on in the course of my everyday life is alarming. The troubles I face today wouldn’t have even occurred to me a couple years ago. Not very long ago, my life was filled with dreams, freedom and a sense of security. I have always loved to discover and experience life, and I feel that fear and the pressure we are left with is keeping us from living life to the fullest, and from truly appreciating what we are living. I believe in the power of a smile. Smiles are the essence of human nature. Whereas some people see smiles as a way to hide one’s own fear, I believe it is a true remedy against stress and worry. Whenever I am down, something as simple as a smile is enough to cheer me up.A single smile will lighten up my day. Any times when I am down, my best friend draws a smiley face of a paper or my had and this simple gesture is enough to put another smile on my face. A smile makes you feel lighter. It’s an open door towards others, that reassures them and can easily become contagious. It fills the atmosphere with a sweet and calm feel. It gives you pleasure and strength. I believe a smile is a call towards serenity and brings out the positive in one another. A smile is a call, a hand stretched out towards others, a sign of compassion and tolerance. I believe that everything that is important in life can be pulled together into one smile. The greatest memories, the moments I wish would last forever can be expressed by one same smile. They are the times I feel calm and serene, or crazy and ecstatic, filled with joy and pleasure. With one smile I can crawl back to childhood, a place where I feel carefree and alive. I believe in the power of a smile, a power so simple but at the same time, a power and a strength shared all around the world. It is a symbol of unity and peace, a treasure shared by every individual. I believe I must try to surpass all of my fears and try with all I know to never be afraid again, for I am blessed with the greatest and most powerful of weapons that brings every human being together as one: the power to smile.
